Since 1978, Madrid streets have celebrated the Pride with a big parade. However, this year’s lockdown was going to prevent this to happen for the first time in 42 years. As a brand that acknowledges the LGBTQ community every June, Burger King found a simple way to use its own assets to keep this celebration alive: turning delivery riders into Priders.
Burger King delivery floats were decorated and turned into parade floats so when people ordered from home, Pride was acknowledged on the streets of Madrid. Also, if they used certain code when ordering, people would receive a special delivery bag packed with stickers and other paraphernalia to keep celebrating the LGBTQ community safely from home.
